I live in Louisville, KY with my two dogs, Mattie and Wrigley. They are my family and I love them dearly, (It is my belief that children are for those who can't have dogs). Having said that, you will notice a lot of the content of my site will be animal centered. God has given me a compassionate heart for His animals. 


Over the past few years I have had an awakening in my life. I was raised Southern Baptist and went to church every time the doors were open (how many times have you heard that before?), . It wasn't until a few years ago that I realized how twisted my knowledge of God's word was. When I was younger I remember thinking the only reason I wanted to go to heaven was because I DIDN"T want to go to hell and it seemed like all the preacher ever focused on was how bad hell is, not how glorious heaven will be or how wonderful it will be to live in heaven with our Creator. Oh well, I out grew that fire and brimstone coercion way of believing years ago. Although I am very much aware (as best my mind can comprehend) of how bad hell is, I don't have to worry about that anymore since Jesus drew me to Him and saved me. Now I can say with certainty that I am a child of God. Every day as I walk closer and closer with Jesus, I am reminded of how lost I used to be. I now have a reason to rejoice in all things. 

This verse sums up my life today....."I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me". Galatians 2:20 NASB
